    This 30-hour course is a hands-on learning and volunteer service opportunity that teaches Hoosiers about the natural resources around them.

    Birding 101 Hike

    Learn about the birds that call Taltree home, if only for a little while. Hike takes you through all three ecosystems: woodland, prairie and wetland. Discover which birds live where.

    Project Learning Tree: Environmental Education

    Project Learning Tree activities are hands-on interdisciplinary lessons that integrates easily to lesson plans for all age groups, especially Pre-K through 8th grade, meeting state and national educational standards.

    Nature Photography Class

    Learn how to photographically capture nature in a variety of outdoor landscapes – woodland, wetland and prairie.

    This Girl Scouts’ exclusive night hike adventure fulfills the first requirement of the Girl Scouts’ night owl cadette badge requirements.

    Art in Nature-Oil Painting

    This oil painting class will teach you how to use oil paints with the natural landscape of Heron Pond and Heron Trail as your inspiration. All supplies are included in the cost.

    Learn about butterflies and other insects. Visit our Monarch butterfly waystation. Learn about migration patterns, insect friendly plants and more.
