Do you enjoy meeting new people? Would you like to learn new skills? Are you looking for a way to give back to the community? Consider volunteering at the Arboretum! Join our team of over 100 volunteers and join our efforts toward conservation, education, and learning innovative ways to help the environment!
Steps to Becoming an Adult Volunteer:
(Individuals interested in community service hours for class are not recommended for this program)
2. Attend the volunteer orientation program. New Volunteer Orientation 2013 will be presented on two Tuesday mornings, 9:00a.m. – 1:00 p.m. March 19 & 26 (Attendance required at both sessions). The two-session orientation program includes an overview and history of the Arboretum as well as information about the various volunteer opportunities. Additional training days are required for certain volunteer positions. You must register for this event by calling 219-462-0025.

Teen Volunteer Program
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Taltree Arboretum & Gardens. Volunteers age 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult while volunteering. Only certain volunteer duties are available for teens. Please email us at email@example.com or call at 219-462-0025 for more information.
Corporate Groups and Organization Volunteers
The Arboretum welcomes the opportunity to work with local businesses and organizations to plan group volunteer days. Whether it’s planting, weeding, removing invasives or helping at special events; the volunteer experience is always more fun when it’s done with a group.
