Q: How do I purchase or renew a Taltree Membership?

You have 4 options:

  1. Purchase online by credit card.
  2. Purchase by phone with a credit card at 219-462-0025 (Monday-Friday)
  3. Purchase in person at the Taltree Store, open 7 days a week from 10am-4pm (March), 8am-7pm (April-Oct), 10am-4pm (Oct-Dec)
  4. Mail completed membership form and check to:    Taltree Arboretum & Gardens, 71 N 500 W, Valparaiso, IN 46385.

Q: When will I receive my membership card?

Your membership packet will be mailed to you within 7 business days of joining or renewing. Until you receive your packet, you may show a photo id at the gatehouse to gain admission.

Q: I have lost my membership card; what should I do?

Contact the Taltree Office at 219-462-0025 or e-mail to request a replacement. You should receive your new card within 7 business days by mail. While waiting for your new card, you may visit the Arboretum by showing your photo ID at the gatehouse.

Q. Can I bring guests for free?

Depending on your level of membership, you will receive free one-time passes in your membership packet.

Q: Is the Railway Garden and Children’s Garden included in my membership?

Yes, these exhibits are included with all levels of membership.

Q: Must a Family Membership have two names listed?

Only those adults named on the membership card may utilize the membership benefits and receive free admission. A Family Membership can have up to two adults names listed.

Q: At what age do children need to be included on a Membership?

Memberships at the Family level and above include children ages 5-17.

Q: May I visit other gardens with my Taltree membership?

Yes! Taltree Arboretum & Gardens is a member of the American Horticultural Society’s Reciprocal Admission Program. Your Garden membership offers benefits at over 300 gardens throughout North America and the Cayman Islands! For a list of participating venues and the benefits they offer, please visit To redeem your benefits, present your current membership card to that garden.

Q: I would like to request a Membership donation for an auction. Who should I contact?

Taltree strives to take an active role in supporting the community. However, as a non-profit, we are not always able to offer free memberships. Please issue a request in writing to or mail request to: Taltree Arboretum & Gardens, 71 N 500 W, Valparaiso, IN 46385.
