Celebrate Your Child’s Birthday the Taltree Way

Looking for an affordable birthday outing that will excite your child and all the party guests? Host your party at Taltree and make your child’s special day even more memorable. Taltree Arboretum & Gardens offers two birthday packages and the ability to add-on package upgrades to customize your special birthday.
Both themes accommodate a range of ages, perfect for both boys and girls! (Recommended age range: 3 yrs old to 8 yrs. old)

Basic Package 1: Thomas® &: Emily Visit the Railway Garden

From May through October, children will delight in the thrilling sights and sounds of Taltree’s outdoor Railway Garden through a docent-led discovery tour that includes viewing Thomas the Tank Engine characters. From November through April, cozy on into the warm Railway Depot for indoor learning activities and games which examine railway history and amusing train facts. (call for pricing)

Package includes:

  • 2-hour semi-private birthday party rental period in Taltree Railway Depot for up to 20 children
  • 30 minute discovery tour led by a trained docent
  • 1.5 hrs open for celebration & refreshments led by party adults
  • Free general admission to Taltree for children & adult party guests
  • 4- 8ft plastic banquet style tables for use during the party
  • 36 plastic white chairs for use during the party

Basic Package 2: Bugs & Butterflies in the Prairie

From May through October, your party-goers will search for bugs, butterflies and other cool creatures amidst the tall grass prairie. From November through April, explore diverse ecosystems through interpretive, interactive games. Whether inside or out, learn fascinating facts about the environment with a trained docent.

Package includes:

Optional add-ons

  • Party Favor Bags Add-on
    Leave the worries behind and let Taltree pack your party favor bags for you. Bags will be filled a variety of items including Taltree-themed favors appropriate to your party package will be delivered to your party. Items like pencils, wacky-shaped erasers, bubbles, etc can be included in the bags. (Items are subject to change seasonally.)
