People of the Woods
The relationship between humankind and nature has been controversial in almost every culture. In the United States, heightened awareness of conservation issues began as early as 1850.
Can you name 5 people that helped shape conservation in the United States? Can you name conservationists from Indiana?
Join us in discovering who they are!
Hike Heron Pond Trail to see the People of the Woods Exhibition. Theses carved statues and busts were created out of wood gathered from fallen trees on Taltree’s grounds and shaped into historical conservation figures by our own staff!
The Exhibit will be on display the entire month of June
