We will have food to purchase and activities for the kids. Make it a family affair and spend the day welcoming spring the Taltree way.

All Aboard the Polar Express!
THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
Come to our Polar Express party. We’ll have crafts, cocoa, cookies, and of course, a reading of The Polar Express by South Shore Arts Executive Director John Cain. Bring your holiday cheer, and welcome aboard! Kids are encouraged to dress in their pajamas. This event is appropriate for ages 5 through 10.
THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
Two Boarding Times:
10-11:45 am AND 11:45 am– 1:45 pm
$10 per child (includes one free adult admission)
$5 for each additional child
Seating is limited; participants must pre-register and pre-pay by November 21.

Art in the Garden Call for Artists Deadline August 30
Taltree Arboretum & Gardens is seeking artists for its fourth annual Art in the Garden art fair September 29 and 30, 2012. The event, which this year will include one huge tent for artists, will take place from 10am to 3pm (CDT) Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30, 2012. On the same two days, we will also host a tomato tasting and a rose show presented by the Duneland Rose Society.
Show sites are available for $100 for the weekend. Sites include one eight-foot rectangular table and one chair, and will be situated beneath a tent with sides. Electricity is not available. 
Materials submission deadline is August 30 and may be sent by e-mail or by postal mail. Hardcopy photos may be sent to our administration office, Taltree Arboretum & Gardens, 71 North 500 West, Valparaiso, IN 46385.
Vendors are expected to attend both Saturday and Sunday. All participating artists must be present at their booths during show hours.
