Harvest Fest and Haunted Railway
Taltree Arboretum & Gardens is haunting its Railway Garden through the month of October. Like last year, visitors will be treated to a full out Boo-fest, featuring spooky trees, raving ravens and creepy crawlies. These ghoulish beings will haunt the buildings along the rail lines of the Taltree Railway Garden, joining the thousands of miniature plants, dozens of handmade bridges, and of course, an assemblage of G-gauge steam trains.
In addition to the Haunted Railway, Saturdays and Sundays in October will feature hayrides, story hour, crafts, hay bale maze, arrow maze and more! Bring the whole family for a hay wagon tour of the Taltree grounds. The kids will enjoy seasonal-themed story readings and original crafts. Pack a picnic or pick up a snack in the Depot. We will have cider and snacks to purchase, and some great seasonal items in the Taltree store.
- Saturdays and Sundays through the month from 10 am – 6 pm: Storybook reading of Pumpkin Circle: The Story of a Garden, and craft activity, “Acorn Pumpkins,” will take place in the Railway Garden Depot. Bring the whole family for a hay wagon tour of the Taltree grounds, with outstandingly colorful views of the prairie and the new Children’s Adventure Garden.
