Bird Banding Spring Session
April 5 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am CST| $8 Members/$10 Non-Members
Bird banding, or bird ringing, is a universal, indispensable technique for studying the movement, survival and behavior of birds. Bird banding is the process of attaching a small metal or plastic band around a bird’s leg in order to identify individual birds. This technique has been used for centuries to identify captive birds, such as falcons. Today, banding is used to track millions of wild birds for research. Come see what spring birds we can track.
