Art in the Garden is This Weekend

Art in the Garden 2012

Come enjoy Art in the Garden!

A two-day Art Fair from 10 am – 3 pm both Saturday, September 29 and Sunday, September 30

This year, we’re featuring a wide array of art available for purchase all under the comfort of a tent to protect from adverse weather!

And don’t forget to visit the rose show hosted by the Duneland Rose Society on  Saturday with roses remaining on display Sunday.

Trail of Scarecrows is Coming Soon!

Be on the lookout for Scholastic Scarecrows, a program that combines artistry with reading and writing skills. Visitors will find an array of scarecrows built by children in grades K-5. Children’s groups from schools and organizations read a story and build a scarecrow based on that story. They then write an essay together to enter into the competition. Beginning the first week in October, the scarecrows will be displayed in the arboretum with their essays. Visitors will be able to look at the scarecrow, read the essay, and then vote on their favorite.
